There is now $343,000 in development charges (taxes) on the average 900sq/ft down town condo.

That's more than the condo cost in 2000.

Forget land costs.
Forget build costs.

This will never be resolved by building high rise.

The only hope we have is to rezone all the SFH land into 800-1000sq/ft row home type structures.

We have to limit the land lift by curbing expectations of high density everywhere.
