573 feet is actually dissapointing to me. I thought it was taller, at least the other rendering I saw of the tower looked a lot taller.

EDIT: Hopefully Atlanta3000 can release the other rendering.

For comparison...1180 Peachtree is a 41-stories and rises to a height of approximately 657 feet with the added roof element.

That's the only reason why it isn't a "violent code brown" or the bloody one lol

More I look at this tower and what's being included in it, more I'm dissapointed. Dare I say I'm more of a fan of the Cousin's office proposal at 8th and Peachtree?

I really like the locations of these two recent proposals.

It will be nice to have something of this height on this eastern side of Peachtree and it will be especially nice to have the 30+ story project proposal near NCR - That will help create a new little hub of decent height around 7th & 8th street.

We might know more on Friday or after the DRC meeting next week.

Given their track record, I can’t imagine it being too long before this gets going. Now if we could get 1138 property moving again, that would be killer.

Question:

Parking Podium or Underground Parking?

It looks like the building may be divided into 4 basic divisions.

The first section (9 floors) seems to be all glass and the floor heights seem rather high like Office space or could it be well disguised parking levels?
The second portion (16 floors) has no balconies and maybe could be the Office portion and maybe 200k worth of space.
The third section (14 floors) with balconies would have to be the Condos.
The top portion - the Ritz Carlton.

Disappointing considering the number 900 was being tossed around.

I'm guessing parking is the smaller structure on the right. For the tower, office on the bottom, hotel in the middle and condo up top with some sort of lighted drama/crown above large balconies.

From the article:
Quote:
The project would include a 271-key hotel, about 70 condo units, more than 200,000 square feet of office space and 6,000 square feet of street-level retail.
At 573 feet tall, it would become one of Midtown's tallest towers.
“The office, hotel and residential buildings stack vertically on top of each other, stepping back from each other as uses change,” says a project summary submitted to Atlanta planning officials.
Selig’s project would include 16 floors of condos, a mix of two- and three-bedroom units. The condos could average about 2,100 square feet.

Right. If their l goal truly is to “dwarf Opus 2” as was stated, they are failing spectacularly.

Yes, in hind-sight, the top portion would be way too small to actually be functional as floors - although, it just looks visually like they compressed 9 floors of space and called it an architectural feature.

Could "573 feet" be a typo? That seems awfully short for 51 floors, particularly since some of it will be office.

I was thinking the same thing. The rendering looks taller than 573 feet.

OK let's state the obvious - this sub-forum is full of a bunch of nasty bitches with "lower GI" problems! Hands to God the Amazon site selection delegation doesn't cruze this website! Next time I leave the country let's keep less trashy.

There is no way in hell this tower is only 573 feet. I am pretty sure they meant 673 feet. FYI - the top part is the crown. The condos are the floors with the balconies.

I have to go unpack and take a Code Brown.

Can you post the other rendering that a few of us saw?
