No, the actual angle parking spaces off of West Georgia. Seemed like they were taking core samples.

Okay, thanks.

That is curious. Maybe they have to be sure the ground underneath the old post office can take a lot more weight.

Just to clarify, it was a joke at the expense of the hyperbolic anti-oil crowd.

Moving on...

Agree with that too! If I have a choice and own that piece of empty land across the street, I would build a new 50-storey Landmark hotel with a rotating restaurant/lounge/viewing gallery on top.

Not sure how new they are are but there seemed to be more PCL construction signs on the entrances and also saw one for Pacific Blasting. Maybe there is more survey work inside being done as well.

I took these pics today of the drilling you were talking about. I saw a group of hard hatted official looking types at the west end of the old post office (last pic below).

It's interesting, I still see cars coming and going out of the parkade (the entrance and the exit driveways on Homer, 2nd pic below) but they're demolishing down below grade to the north of the driveways.

Yup, most of the trees are gone now. Just the few left near the office tower. Some pics from last week.

bcIMC. BK might still have development management. I don't think it's been shunted to Quadreal yet.

QuadReal Property Group seems to be managing the space now from some Linkedin profiles.

And yet Tony Astles from Bentall was the one who responded to media enquiries about Amazon. I'm guessing that QR might be bcIMC's proxy while Bentall carries on with development of the project.

Presumably redevelopment would exclude the office block fronting Pacific St.
Not sure, but there may be 3 different strata corps. - one for each building.

Gosh, I sure wish I had bought one of those Anchor Point studios back when they were on the market for ~$150K (15-16 years ago). I got an advertising brochure in my mailbox yesterday with these listings.

Why do developers keep targeting good usable buildings downtown? What a waste when a good stock of concrete buildings built of that era keep being demolished! Time to upzone surrounding areas so that the developers can go target the real low-density lots! What a shame and how un-green the City has become.

...That's insane. I thought that 155 Water Street development wasn't approved, for obvious reasons.
