Found a new render of the former Centre 2000 site redevelopment in Laval, west of Centropolis. The lot only has a furniture store, a Wal-Mart supercentre and two small office buildings at the moment (and the flashy blue one is u/c). The project should include more office space, retail, housing, a retirement home and a hotel.
Most of the surface parking on that render is already there, so it looks like they are aiming for something greener and denser for the core.

The new botanical conservatory will be situated at the head of an existing Formal Garden at Assiniboine Park. It will celebrate cultural and botanical diversity. Designed for LEED Gold Certification it will play a critical role in shaping how a community perceives, interacts with and understands nature and sustainability. Through compelling architecture and innovative programming it will meet a modern purpose: existing to capture the imaginations of new generations and promote a greater understanding and love of the botanical world while addressing critical conservation issues. It will be a signature piece of architecture that generates awareness and a presence in the park, an interactive destination that focuses on the interrelationships of plants and people, and a sustainable precedent focusing on horticulture, plants and the environment. The new exterior gardens and landscaping will complement the interior design elements, connect the building
Very cool. This is somewhat reminiscent of the Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore

It should be a pretty iconic building once completed, it will complement the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and the new zoo at the Assiniboine Park quit nicely.

Considering this is in Laval is anyone else worried that Clockzilla may soon have a new friend/enemy?

I think he was just calling the towers ugly. Clockzilla does love to do battle with other ugly buildings after all. That or it's simply a new skyline to crush.

clockzilla has no friend, only enemies, but she's getting old, it's time to retire.

Still very Preliminary, but 700/800 Rue St. Jacques

If what I'm seeing is correct, looks like 2x 200m towers. And if that is the case, then holy fuckballs.

700 St-Jacques from another angle:

800 St-Jacques (Banque Nationale HQ) won't be as high as 1000 De la Gauchetière.

2 x 200 m. Build at the same time, on the same lot. Nice. Like Tour de la Bourse, they will be very proéminent from the river and Old Montreal.

Neither of these 200m towers even reach the height limit. Both of them could have gone as tall as 218m or so.

Oh and holy shit! Great news but I doubt the national bank tower will go as high as 200m. They were talking about a 36 storey tower and 1 million Sq ft. The tallest they'll go is 175-180m.

Nothing will ever surpass le 1000. Even if you build a 220m tower down on the new Boulevard it will have the exact same height as le 1000.

For those who aren't familiar with M's height limit: it is set at 235m above sea level. Which is the height of Hill-Royal. The lowest past of the island is by the river and that is roughly 7m sea level.

So even if you build a 228m tower right by the river that tower will be just as high in the skyline as le 1000. 235m.

That's exactly how to create a tabletop skyline...
