The HD that the landlord would like to replace with a more "animated" tenancy?

The only good thing about that HD in Vancouver is that it's a ghost town and as a result you'll have no problem whatsoever having staff fall over themselves to help shoppers.

Excellent read! I would love to see the few gaps on 104 Street filled, and that storage warehouse redeveloped. Having it as self-storage is no longer acceptable imo.

Man, it's such an exciting time to be in Edmonton for those of us who love seeing development. So much going on with so much to come (potentially) too.

Good to see there is interest in downtown and other parts of the city as well.

Yes and no. The land sale was a few months ago and we speculated then about something like this. Now it is more official. I actually have a meeting with the applicant/developer this afternoon and given their precedent, am looking forward to another high quality development.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with. I've liked what Edgar Developments has come out with.

And they want to do 2 towers for this location. Should be good!

I think the row housing will be a fantastic addition to that part of downtown.

Agreed. It will bring something that our downtown hasn't seen done before. Vancouver loves this type of building as that's all I saw when I was last there.

Great meeting. Two rectilinear towers with CRUs fronting 102ave and row housing fronting 106st. Think East Village Calgary, Liberty Village Toronto or mid-range projects from Vancouver/lower-mainland.

MCM, eh? Not the first firm I'd think of when it comes to residential. They're better equipped for commercial. Have worked with them before. They're good at economic office designs, for sure.

Screened above-ground parking... well, I've tilted at that windmill so many times I'll just register my disappointment and move on.
