True. But that’s a comparison to last January. Evidence of the provincial government’s policies in my opinion.

If suburban construction appeals to you, and public funds constitute as "growth"...

Whenever your claims of a lack of activity are debunked, there is always an excuse. My personal favourite was when you claimed that TNS didn't count because it "wasn't needed".

Odd that you're mentioning suburban construction and public funds because I didn't see that mentioned in the numbers Biff posted? If I missed something though feel free to point it out

On the flip side with your theory. Then Winnipeg being the coldest of those cities still is out permitting them when Your theory it shouldn’t.
No, I just said January is a very volatile month. You don't get as much small-medium permits for things like houses and such, so if there's one large project it makes a big difference.

Well Winnipeg has a $400-million private development underway in the middle of downtown that you seem to just ignore, and strangely I don't hear you complaining about the massive government funding propping up the Nova Centre in your precious Halifax... seems like a double standard to me.

^Getting there. They're on the 25th floor now. Have the roof and mechanical penthouse to go.

I figured the 25th/mechanical room would be steel frame like Tower 1 and would only be taking up the back half of the building? I don't think that thing that pours concrete can go any higher without having to raise the crane.

Tower 1 has a concrete roof and the elevator core goes up on to the roof. The mechanical on the roof is steel, you're right.

I'd assume the same for residential? They're on the 25th floor slab right now. maybe they poured it already, I'm not sure. But they'd go another level of concrete columns and the concrete roof.

While Recluse may be ignoring some positive upswing in Winnipeg, surely we can all agree that Winnipeg can be frustrating sometimes

True, and I'm being perhaps a little overly sensitive to the matter... It's not like other stronger markets would embrace building caps in downtowns anyway, because their land values would be higher... but then again they can fill the blocks up.

I thought they would have brought it in a completed "box frame" like when the skywalk was set into 330 St. Mary from City Place, but it looks like they are stick building the structure. The top and side steel was being hung when I left work at 2pm but the floor structure was not in place.
