Good. Every day I go to Burquitlam station and there's so much underdevelopment. I'll be happy to see that one-storey plaza become something that uses the land better.

Looking at the Concert document, it appears the two Burquitlam Park towers will be 145.3m for the north tower and 96.1m for the south.

Something that I know will irk some forumers, myself included: The height of the tallest tower is to the roof and not the architectural height, which is higher. The height to the mechanical roof is 9.3m taller, but that doesn't count. The architectural height (which does count) appears to be a little more than two thirds of the way from the roof to the mechanical roof.

This would put the building in the 150-151m range, but we can't know for sure. Yet another skyscraper going up that can't be officially included as one. Super frustrating.

I sent an email once regarding the Como Road Towers for official heights, never heard back.

I wish Burnaby and Coquitlam were a little more up front with that info.

The most I could ever find for the Como Road Towers was the podium height...

Thanks for the idea; TBH I'd never thought of doing that. Doesn't it cost money each time you submit a FOI request?

Really hope that project doesn't turn out as bland and tower-in-the-parky as it looks. This will be one of the biggest pieces in turning Richmond's downtown more urban, so it has to be gotten right.

I love how that doesn't even compute into the calculations we make as a society.

People are taking out 30 year mortgages - there is a real possibility that there will already be issues with ground water swelling in areas like Richmond by the time those mortgages are up.

Is this not something we should be collectively thinking of?

I don't know what the cure to all of societies ills is, but I do know that short term thinking is really hindering our decisions making abilities.
