Does the smaller building front Peachtree? I like the effort to use the brick - much more site relevant than the hotel proposed across from the Fox. surely they can design something better for that exceptional site!

The smaller building (white with brick) does front Peachtree, it's the existing Peasant building. Above it is a potential future 5 story addition that would not be part of phase 1. Also these are likely just conceptual renderings, because my understanding is that they're keeping the facades of two smaller buildings, which would be where the open courtyard is shown.

No but they have file permits and could be breaking ground soon.

According to the site plan, they do plan to have an open air plaza so a couple of small facades will be completely demolished. That's the only part of this proposal that I don't like.

Interesting, I noticed they filed a planning permit for a temporary entrance this week, but I didn't realize it was to prepare for an expansion.

I wonder if the expansion will include the 1.5 acre parcel they own on the other side of Luckie St? I recall a few months back Jacoby Development pitching a project for this site to the aquarium folks:

In Buckhead, Related Group's 3372 Peachtree Rd is starting to get vertical. I'm not sure if this building has a name yet.

Someone on the DRC just posted on the Atlanta Preservation Alliance "The applicant is going to revise the plans, per the DRC meeting yesterday. The "glass box" in these renderings is not accurate." He also said the DRC asked the developers to save the facades of those two small buildings, one of which has some interesting terra cotta details. So we'll probably see some more positive changes before the site plan and design are finalized. Good to see the DRC is being serious here, because the original plan called for the demolition of the Peasant Building! And I don't think this site falls within the new Midtown rules (correct me if I'm wrong), it's a couple blocks too far south.

that rendering is sweet
