Yea, concrete tends to look pretty dreary in wet weather. Particularly when the concrete of the buildings gets wet and turns into that cardboard brown colour.

When I think of wet concrete I think of Vancouver City Hall. Concrete aged when wet resembles stone and on certain structures the effect is nice. Brutalist buildings look better wet imo. There is a dirty skyscraper joke in that comment somewhere I bet.

Anything shiny looks decent in the rain IMO. Concrete look terrible, always looks dark and ominous...

It makes me think of Westview Heights which I used to hate but have grown to like.

Didn't even realize this was Edmonton at first, definitely a great shot.

Definitely similar, this one is looking better with the latest renovation.

What did they renovate? I seem to recall a fresh coat of paint. Didn't it used to be green?

They are replacing the green panels, think they are still green though.

^I feel like some ancient monster is going to come out of the depths and gouge me or that I'm going to fall into a pit of spikes somewhere, or the walls are going to start shifting around and squish me into a bloody, lifeless pulp.

More likely just going to step on a dirty needle, since junkies are the only people who go there.
