chi chis!

the article is also a bit cringe-worthy when he said most of his other buildings are low-income and that he is very good at managing them all with no problems... not holding my breath on anything happening here until the abyss forming by the st. Charles finally swallows this entire block.

Bonanza-Royal Fork Buffet combo location. Coming soon to the Exchange District!

Wouldn't that be something.

The Royal Crown! On top of the Royal Albert!

They can enlist folks in the low income units below as pedal power to turn the thing, in exchange for rent. It's the way of the future!

one of the last remaining ones is in Moose Jaw, was there in dec, but never made it to Bonanza. The salad bar was legendary.

My prediction is Wagon Wheel (famous clubhouse) or Grapes

bonanza still exists in the states.

https://www.pon-bon.com/bonanza/

Ponderosa is popular in Asia...I saw one in Cairo.

There was also one in Saskatoon upto a year ago. I remember one in Regina too when I briefly worked there about 10 years ago, not sure when it shut down. I guess Saskatchewan is the last bastion for Bonanza.

I remember Bonanza was a go to as a family restaurant as a child.

It's going to be a Branigan's, isn't it.
I’ll throw my guess in...Bombay Bicycle Club lol. Loved having brunch there.

Anyone know of a place called Underground Pizza Parlour that was in the exchange. Someone was telling me about it and they had speakers at the table that the waiter would join in the conversations that were happening or something. It sounds pretty bizarre.

Is that the one that ended on the lesson that when the sewer backs up into the kitchen, health inspectors get really irritable about you continuing to serve food?

There was also Jonathon's in cityplace (nee Eaton Place) that sat right in the middle of the mall at the base of the escalators.

Yes, it was from the 1980s. And when I got my first office job, with Air Canada in Nov. - Dec. 1988, as a last day party thing after 7 wks. temping, our bosses took us out to Mr. Greenjeans.

Sad that they closed a year or two after that.

My memory is hazy now, 30 years later, but I think Greenjeans / Jonathans was closer to the PharmaPlus space.

Greenjeans was where BP is now. Jonathons was in the center court opposite Petland and the bookstore, Coles I think it was. I worked at both of them.
