I can see this to a degree. But there is no denying that the orange anus down south has emboldened racists everywhere. Look no further than the rising visibility of groups like the neo nazis who marched in Charlottesville or at groups like La Meute in Quebec.

Trump has definitely made them feel it's "safer" for them to behave this way publicly (if someone like them got elected, they can freely behave that way too) but at the same time, people are so repulsed by Trump and his supporters that they're pushing back against anyone who behaves the way he does, hence the strong campaigns against those who have sexually assaulted people or who express racist or bigoted ideas. And some of them use the excuse "Donald Trump is president now" as a way to justify their behaviour.

It's sort of like telling a kid "I'm tired of you doing that" and then they do it again, so you smack them as punishment, except the kids in this case are impotent white men who fear women, muslims and gays and the parent is the rest of us who are normal.

It's been the last two years or so, definitely emboldened by Trump. A lot of them even explicitly say shit like "Donald brought back my Freeze Peach and I don't have to hide anymore".

Hahaha! I finally watched the Godfather a couple weeks ago. I think the comparison to Fredo is too nice. Fredo actually had a good heart but was simple. Don Jr. is as rotten as the Anus he fell from.
