Toronto has six towers above 200 metres in height under construction....(from 10 Tallest UC thread)
1. The One (Toronto): 306.3m / 1005ft
3. CIBC Square I (Toronto): 238.5m / 783ft
4. Eau du Soleil - Sky Tower (Toronto): 228.2m / 749ft
5. Ten York (Toronto): 224m / 735ft
7. Massey Tower (Toronto): 208.3m / 683ft
8. Residences of 488 University Avenue (Toronto): 207m / 679ft
9. 88 Scott (Toronto): 204m / 669ft

Overall, we're the first in terms of highrise construction in North America
Per SSP database, we sit at 162 highrises

New York at #2 is at 131 highrises

Honestly who cares. Tabletop or no tabletop it really doesn't matter. The Halifax skyline looks great. It went from very archaic and boring to impressive in only 5 years or so.

I’m not trying to be facetious but what changed for Halifax in those 5 years? I’m not up to speed on the projects there, but looking at the top 21 tallest in that city on Wikipedia only two were built after 2000.

What article were you looking at?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Halifax,_Nova_Scotia is one. It lists 12 highrises recently completed or under construction, and it's not a complete list. I'm not sure the tallest list is complete either but it shows 5 new buildings since 2010, not 2 (TD is listed as 1974/2014 but its floor space roughly doubled, it got taller, and it was completely reclad; it looks very different in the skyline from before).

I agree. If not a building maybe some sort of observation tower. A birds Eye view of that city and it's harbour would be amazing.
