That building has actually been climbing quickly now that they have a crew. Took them months to do all the ground level shit, but it's climbed up to like 10 floors for the core since the end of summer so I'd take the bet in my sleep.

Edit: nevermind, read that as OGP, not OBP. Yeah you might be right on that

Renelle on the River - 403 N Wabash

Crane mounted over the sidewalk - but braced against the property under the bridge.

New walkway - to replace the one that ran through what is now the middle of the site.

Note the old wall with the green tanks leaning against it, that is the sidewalk line.

Making use of existing structure.

^^They may have a building permit, but no tenant. I don't think this one is starting for awhile. They are not moving forward without an anchor.

I don’t recall this being meant for large tenants. I think this project is being marketed to smaller tenants that have been displaced by all of the apartment and hotel conversions.

I predict they will start soon and this won't matter to them.

This is like a 200,000 SF building, there is no need for an anchor.

Also those soil test rigs have been in the Tribune lot for a long time, I pointed it out here like two weeks ago.

^^^ this one is already quite prominent from 290 headed east. The larger towers in this project are really going to be dominant from that angle.

I know it's not going to happen but how badass would it be if we had all the projects going at once and had a forest of cranes cramed in that area. It would looke like a very mini hudson yards or marina city in Dubai.

Your information is normally pretty reliable but I thought this one was being built on spec. It would seem silly to demolish a revenue generating garage if they didn't plan to begin construction, no?
