Thanks - I'm glad I wasn't the only one who couldn't see it - but there wasn't even a spot where it should've been when I looked at this series of posts (until this very last one). I have ad-blockers enabled... maybe that's a factor.

I just wondering if the Canada Post building move would be a part of the Railroad Revitilization project?

While moving it out certainly aligns with the overall RRI vision generically, it's never been included in the RRI plans - so I'd say it's not on the radar.

Unless anyone can find something that I missed, I didn't find any tenders out (MERX, BuyAndSell.gc.ca, CanadaPost.ca, etc) for any work relating to Canada Post in Regina. So, IF relocating the Regina facility is on Canada Post's plans, it isn't happening for a while.

Economic future in Regina looks bright
The November economic report for the city of Regina has been released.
The report, reviewing the stats from September and October, show an expanding economy in the Saskatchewan capital, highlighted by 1% employment increase and a 6.36% population increase from October 2015 to October 2016.
Mayor Michael Fougere says he’s very pleased with the report, as it’s indicative of the hard work council puts in to making Regina an attractive city for investors and families.
“The decisions that we make on council really are to provide confidence, understanding and predictability for those who want to invest.”
“It’s a great quality of life.”
Fougere also points out there are other statistics supporting economic growth in Regina, such as the 35% housing increase from September 2016 to this September

Last year they did a tree just into the Scarth Street walkway behind the buffalo. Seems like they plan on doing a similar thing this year.

Anyone have any clue what is going up beside Titan Automotive on Broad St? I've heard Mercedes but being that they just renovated, it doesn't make sense.

Audi is beside Titan. Titan is simply building a new building.

How can newspeople publish such obviously erroneous stats?

What do you mean "erroneous?" StatsCan backs up the 6.3% population increase from 2011-2016... do you have proof that the growth didn't come entirely in a 1 year period (Oct 2015-Oct2016)? You're going to rely on "common sense?" C'mon.

That would be about 14,500 new people. Pretty incredible growth. No wonder we need the bypass, at that rate the city will grow out to it's farthest extremity in no time!

Weird they would use last years estimate when this year's is available and is only 1.7%.

It almost certainly comes from the Conference Board of Canada numbers. They estimate until they redo the report.

CTV site is terrible for that - I think its because of Flash.
Video talks about the tunnels under Regina at the Casino, in the park, etc. Shows video of them and talks about the history.

I've been in the UofR tunnels... neat down there too.

Would be cool if Doors Open Regina got Wascana, Casino or UofR on-board to open up the tunnels.
(I realize Doors Open is a Regina Downtown initiative... other cities open doors to sites city-wide that are normally closed to the public (often as a charity fundraiser). Doors Open Ottawa includes buildings that most people would never be able to enter (e.g. 10 embassies; Bank of Canada; Masonic temples; mosques; churches; etc)
