On, say, a 1.5-billion-dollar transit project (standalone or extension), if the city's overall share is 1/3, that's $5-million.
You can do some pretty good transit things for that amount of cash.
Let the blue-hairs and granola-munchers pay for the art. The public dime should be devoted to building actual transit.
