You don't need Orleans/Kanata sized populations to fill that.

Findley Creek has a population of under 9000. That totals less than 24,000. Now not all of those people work (some are children, some might be retired and some might not work for another reason). So maybe half do work (the national average is 49.6%), so 12,000?. Then not everyone who works commute to work (about 7% work from home). I will disregard that because it is small. Then according to a
2011 study, 11% of those who commute to work, use transit (so about 1300). Then those that use transit to commute, may not work in a direction that the Trillium Line would be useful (some will work locally or in Barrhaven). I don't have stats for that, but lets say 1200 people in those two communities use the Trillium Line for their commute. Given that rush hour is about 2 hours long, the trillium line has a total capacity for about 6000 commuters or about 5 times my estimate of the the current commuters from those two communities. Granted, some more will board from stations further north, but many of those would rather take a bus to Hurdman instead to avoid a transfer.
Now I think it is silly what the city is doing with the Trillium line, but capacity is not one of the problems.
