are we talking about Olympic? Or are we talking about Figueroa? All of the pictures are showing Figueroa?

We're talking about Olympic, my comments weren't related to the pics.

Anyone want to start a petition on an Olympic road diet and/or closing Chick Hearn between Georgia and Fig??

Here's an updated photo from LA Downtown News, showing the added emergency stairs and taller doors on the car.

That Josh guy seems pretty awesome.

This is something the Neighborhood Council should be doing, but as long as Patti Berman is president nothing will happen. Other NC's like Mid City West do this all the time. I could do something in DTLA Dev, but it wouldn't go anywhere compared to what I could do with the NC.

I think closing Chick Hearn between Fig and Georgia is totally possible, but we would have to see what the redesign of the Convention center looks like.

Well I think that Josh guy should run for president of the NC
If I were a downtown resident I'd certainly vote for him

User 2468 (Juan Gomez?), thank you so much for the photo update. It was very well done and the careful identification of each project is greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!

LA's Empire State Building would have to be in KoreaTown (the equivalent of Midtown). Just a thought.

Glad to see the glass cladding finish up on Metropolis. Am I the only one who isn't a fan of the Apex glass? I figured they would've used the same glass as the first tower. I guess it's a good way to add variety.

820 Olive is having an identity crisis. It has two different sets of glass for each side of the tower, lol. Thanks for the photos. LA will certainly be presentable for the 2028 games.

(Front page updated.)

It's half Atelier, half Level.

nice pic. Pretty clear from this angle that US Bank is still #1 like many have said here. Don't get me wrong--I like Wilshire Grand. But I've been up to the observation deck of USB, and you do look down at WG except for the skinny spire. Still hope we get a clear #1, an architectural masterpiece mixed use tower before the building boom ends, completed before the Olympics. 1200'+, on Pershing Square or Angels Knoll or Figueroa. Come on developers. Build it! Give L.A. it's iconic building, its Empire State Building.

Nice capture! I hope that in 50 years, when we're all gray and old, enough of us will be riding trains and electric vehicles so that there won't be so much of that nasty particulate matter hanging above our fair city.

Amen. That is why I love the winter, rainy months here in LA. You have a lot more clear days, and the landscape turns green. It was amazing to see how green everything got last winter. Great season to take photos.

Makes you realize that there needs to be some form of rail connection between Downtown and Glendale. I swear this city/county needs to be 1000 times more ambitious with rail lines. If they build it, we obviously will come. Its interesting, if you were to put Glendale in almost any other state, it would be considered a major city on its own with its downtown.

Can any one of you guys explain to me why LA didn't develop a subway system or even a large rail system like NYC or Chicago? I mean of all places LA might need it most and Elon Musks hyperloop seems promising and a step in the right direction.
