Of course the ports are the most important.
I've always had the impression that Delta/Annacis Island was a good Industrial "Hub". Then again I shouldn't be surprise about Richmond, Mitchell Island is pretty strong hub.
Always enjoy driving/walking around industrial areas, other than Northern Richmond/Mitchell Island the southern part of lulu island never came to mind. A bit biased as I spend most of these trips around the former BCER Southern Burnaby spur, and the marpole line, both of which are steadily decreasing/converted to housing.
Miss the days of lesser security around the ports, lost all my old negatives a decade ago in a flood
