The Nexa apartments will have 399 units plus a Press Coffee shop and Kuka Sushi.

Someone already mentioned the Press Coffee opening in the Nexa apartments, but looks like they also have a sushi restaurant tenant. Good to see the retail in some of the Apache projects being filled.

Press Coffee at Nexa on Apache will be open very soon, if it isn't already. They had the outdoor patio area set up a few days ago. I live only a block away and likely will be there frequently.

Btw...hello all. It's been quite awhile since I have logged on here. Still plan on finishing part 3 of my Tempe photo thread. There is plenty of new material to work with. I'll try to contribute more often when I can. The Rise on Apache site (when construction begins) is a good place to start considering that it is right next door.

Pretty boring around here lately... thought I would add that there is a LOT more work/workers at The Pier site now. I have to imagine the crane will be up this month considering how much site work was already in place.

Two cranes for The Pier, one for The Jefferson and one for Aura Watermark should look nice when crossing the Rural bridge.

The FAA obstruction evaluation is up in Proposed for the Pier. It says Phoenix, but the coordinates are for Pier.

The Pier project is supposed to be 24 stories and 283'. The height for the structure in your link is only 228'. The Tempe Development Projects website shows 283' for The Pier on the Plans Approved/Entitled tab.

I think the FAA obstruction evaluation link you posted is for the Aura project on the north side of the lake and west of Rural/Scottsdale Rd.

I think this is the Aura Watermark office building, not the Pier. The "structure name" is "Office Building" and when I use latitude/longitude in Google Maps I get the Watermark site.

Has anybody seen renderings, or have information, for the two apartment buildings (each around 60‘ tall) at 1201 E. Apache Blvd.? The zoning hearing sign names it as Park Place, which includes properties on the west side and the east side of terrace, south of rural. An internet search turns up nothing for this except another existing complex in Tempe.

I was looking at the website below and still didn't see it. I am curious because it is literally next door to me. May have to go retrieve details from the the sign for more information if no one has anything....I have been too lazy to walk over there tho.....

Thanks!! Hopefully we will get some more details soon. I can't figure out what they propose to do with the narrow piece of property on the west side of Terrace. I don't want to see the d'lite coffee house/cafe go.

ASU Foundation guy mentioned that they have about 1.7 deposits already for every dwelling unit. So hopefully this one will move. Should be a busy stretch of construction on University.

Hey FINALLY the old hooters space is being filled.

looks like it will occupy both the old hooters and the rooftop. the pictures of the Texas location look pretty nice, kind of like a whisky row meets sports bar.

^Right on!, great news! Sounds like a fun place.

However...I really enjoyed that corner of Mill Avenue when there was a place called The Library ( a bar/entertainment venue) on the ground floor and Hooter's was upstairs. So if you got tired of the view and scenery at The Library, you could just walk upstairs and enjoy some beer, food, and the scenery there too!

Anybody who remembers The Library understands what I am talking about. Ahh...the good ol days.

I remember that! That was a good combo. I always hoped Tikted Kilt would move into the old Hooters spot. Of course now alot of the Mill bars offer similar scenery so its no longer unique as it once was. I look forward to see what they do with the space. Especially if they are taking the 3rd floor as well.

The library closed a few weeks before I turned 21, somewhere near the end of 2010. I was very disappointed.
