Oh it's also common in western N.A. Well Canada anyways. New neighbourhoods here are seas of vinyl cladding. Post war suburbs at least have the wood siding.

Softwood makes sense. That's what's in my house. I have a foundation, haha, but it is softwood floors.

I reno'd a house many years ago in Toronto that's foundation was cedar logs on dirt. Pretty cool. The dimensional lumber used throughout the house was out of this world. Sizes and lengths that you just can't get anymore. Nowadays it's all OSB trusses. Fine as long as the OSB panel doesn't get wet.

These ugly beasts are filling a decade long empty pit that actually killed a guy during construction. They are seniors living. Fitting tombstones on both accounts.

The way I was treated

My husband and I have been going to the Deschenes hotel every weekend for years not only for ordering drinks and socializing but for playing the poker machines. On average we spend approx. $500/weekend each. Recently, there has been a couple who comes in with a strong odor of cologne- so strong that one can taste the cologne in their drink. When we complained of the smell and the taste the bartender on call the long weekend in May blew us off saying that it was the same as that of body odor. I'm sorry, but I do not stink of body odor nor does my husband and we are highly insulted of this remark. You have now lost a long time couple to your establishment and a loss of revenue due to your bartender who cannot control his patrons on his hours of employment. We will go elsewhere where favouritism is not taken into consideration.

Next time I'm in Aylmer I'll have to pay this place a visit. After Club du Coin shut down is this where those patrons moved to?
