It's a good amenity! I hated the old-school mini drip coffee makers you used to find in rooms.

Where would the nearest vendor be from Seasons? Portage Ave? Maybe down Academy or into Charleswood. Bit of a void there. Regardless of the ridiculous nature of beer vendors attached to hotels.

Yup a standalone privately run beer or liquor store is just so capitalist and must never happen here in Manitoba, imagine all the bad things that would occur beside, privately run marijuana dispensaries are coming soon, who needs alcohol!

Its ridiculous! I know we've discussed this before.

Wasn't the whole point of having vendors attached to hotels so people would have a place to rest after getting drunk. But who actually stays at the hotel after buying beer. Maybe 0.001% of people. Relic from 100 years ago. Dumb.

It'll be interesting to see how the Provinces handle legal weed. If MLL is in charge, oh boy...

Oh yeah, that vendor will be a goldmine. For someone who lives in Lindenwoods, where do you even go for cold beer? Somewhere on Pembina? The St. James Hotel? All of them are a good hike from the area... this vendor will have a huge captive market.

I think you have to go to Portage or Pembina for the nearest nom MLL beer vendor. Should do good business. Would make perfect sense to have a vendor located in one of the many CRU's located at Seasons.

The Nor-Villa on Henderson HWY. won't rent rooms to local people so even if you were drunk you have to either take a taxi or get home some other way.

Nice rendering, but those cookie cutter Streetside townhouses will never have retail in the main floor. The ground floor is mostly garage with "flex space" in the front on some larger units. It's basically a den. Trying to run a cafe out of there would probably be illegal.

That development looks like the stuff they were building at Garrison Woods in Calgary nearly 20 years ago.

A propos of nothing, I walked by the Pantages addition today and can't for the life of me figure out what the architect was thinking with that sunken pit of grass on Main Street. Impossible to tend to the grass anyway with that slope and it's a pretty useless space all around.

Garrison Woods is a wonderful neighborhood. I did not want to spend the $$$ back in 2001 so we built in McKenzie Towne.
