I just checked at rental prices at Platform in Union Station and they are even more expensive. I do agree, it is nuts.

After reading the article I went out to check the new cycle path on the east bank and they have done nice job with rocks to protect it from being undermined. I recall that the floods washed that section away when it had only been there a month.

Those preformed blocks that form the terracing look good, they are much smoother than the usual east german style pumped concrete.

As for rents, if those tall towers are apartments they'd probably need to be more like $5/sf in the upper half.

With condo defects more or less figured out, it wouldn't surprise me if larger towers could be in the picture. It would be neat for sure.

4040 Wynkoop looks like Westfield's proposed development along Brighton Blvd

Among Westfield’s proposals — all of which are in the conceptual phase — are a 60,000-square-foot entertainment venue that could seat 4,000 people, a 150-key hotel, 1,200-stall parking garage, 30,000-square-foot event space, 500,000 square feet of office space, 125,000 square feet of retail and restaurants and 600 residential units, according to city documents.

I was down there Friday and it looks like Mortenson is starting site work at the Hub site at 38th & Blake. What ended up happening with that, is it just office space or is there a hotel there too?

Looks like it is on a parking lot that I have long thought was one of the true skyscraper-worthy sites in the city. Right next door to the new Target too. Dare I ask if that is a real proposal?

This is the "California Tower" that has been mentioned but not much detail was known, another Buzz Geller lot. I would think this is a real proposal, whether it actually gets built???

Wow.... this is an incredible proposal. So many things I like about that rendering. I love the sleakness of the tower. Also, is that some bold nighttime lighting I see?! Will be very interesting to see how this proposal plays out. It's great to see a new slew of highrise proposals coming in the pipe now (this, Paradise Living).

YES! This checks all the boxes; new tallest in Denver, glass, slender, step backs, lighting, pointed roof, and condos (turning a blind eye to the parking). Hopefully this NY developer will have no trouble acquiring financing!

Looks like a classic Buzz Geller development partner, not sure if no track record makes it better than Renzo Renzi's failing track record?

As far as I can tell Greenwich Realty Capitol has so far completed zero projects. Their directors mostly have other full time jobs, primarily working for a dodgy payroll company and an architecture firm whose prize development is a 6 story apartment building.

I appreciate Geller's ambition, but lets be real: there is a reason why these inexperienced, or experienced failures are leading these projects and no reputable local developer is touching them. There is also probably a good reason none of Geller's other projects have ever worked out.

Now if it were Starwood Capital... I believe they were the financial partner on the Triangle Building.
