Not to burst your bubble but it is not for that. That is going to be a parking lot for a long time. They just installed lighting, access code gates and I think electrical stalls.

The crane is for a different building that is already around.

Someone needs some serious renos? SaskTel or Trianon Tower are the only possibilities.

They've been doing a lot of work in the little Sasktel parking lot on the corner of Lorne and 11th. Looking back, perhaps they were reinforcing the surface, so it could be the spot for it...

Indeed. Especially since the Namerind is the second worst concept in the city.

That doesn't really seem necessary. I mean the streetscape is an abomination thanks to SaskTel but it seems in fine condition.

Building must be 40 years old. I imagine there is corrosion on the anchors holding the prefab slabs in place. This is a fairly common issue for buildings of that vintage. Maybe we will end up with a much better looking building, but I doubt it.

Residential downtown is fine. But starting with a huge component of low income families with no amenities seems foolhardy at best. Plus the huge amount of office space that will find no tenants. And the planned grocery store is the size of a corner store. This is a bad idea.

You're right, no development in downtown is better than some development.

You got a better proposal and the money to back it up?

Anyone correct me if I am wrong, but I heard that this project would cost $86 million - and fundraising is based entirely on donations.
