If anything, the refs are turning a blind eye on Getzlaf's inappropriate plays.

Seriously had trouble sleeping last night and it was probably due to going to bed so angry and frustrated.

NHL is really disappointing me as a legitimate and fair league.

Let's not make excuses folks, we played 20mins.

The turning point was when the refs made a horrible call on the first goal. This loss of our timeout/challenge also allowed the second goal to count which was offside but we couldn't challenge.

So instead of a 2-0 game with the crowd in it, it's now a 2-2 game with no momentum or crowd support. This was the reason for the loss, not an excuse. And let's not start on the last goal where the linemen had his arm up on an obvious icing call and then changed his mind at the last second.

This whole series has been tainted by bad officiating, how the Ducks get away with everything is beyond me. Hard to be a fan of this league this morning, their constant game management is disgusting.

First goal should not have been allowed. Period!!

OT goal was a damn Icing if ever I have seen one. There was no hesitation getting back to this puck from both players!!! at all! Just horrible.

Anyway...this is now forgotten.

Best of 3 and the Oilers better bring their A game.

No report on Getzlaf's hand? That was a hard shot.

If the league was "legitimate and fair" Connor McDavid wouldn't be an Oiler and you could sleep peacefully watching other teams play playoff hockey like the previous 10 years.

The icing was the only thing I disagree with you on. Klefbom held up skating and being that it's a judgement call from the officials, I don't totally blame them on that one. The first two goals, totally blown calls. No excuse on those ones for sure.

Don't know what's going on with Ebs.

But he will be riding the pine for the rest of the series if I was the coach.

No compete no aggression. Passing is horrible. I've always said he needs a longer stick! Just my opinion on that lol.

I get a missed call in real time. But missed on video review? That takes a special kind of incompetence.

Then, with no time-out to challenge the offside second Ducks goal - blammo, Oilers 2, Refs 2.

Now, all that said, I'm with the old boys on offside review - either make it automatic for every goal (ala NFL), or leave it up to the linesman.

Ebs ... feel bad for him, but he richly deserved being benched. Not like he doesn't know what he has to do, just apparently that he lacks the will.

Quit whining on the refs - its been bad for all teams in the playoff.

Oilers are learning but running out of time and games. As far as Ebs he has played in pressure situations like the world juniors but this is another animal - if he is unable to perform PC has an easy decision to make in the summer
