I remember going to Granit Furniture and then to sit on santas lap in a little shop on the cool street island that is now gone. I use to love going to godfathers pizza, snailgtoves, and two guys from Italy. I went to a preschool in sugarhouse that is now been replaced with an apartment building I think... and Fremont park... at least that's there. It's probably full of those crappy plastic playgrounds now.

I was just reading a Deseret news article about the warehouse fire on 400 w & 700 S... and apparently political correctness has moved to the next level. They shall no longer be referred to as "homeless people". You must now refer to them as "people experiencing homelessness".

A fire that burned through an abandoned warehouse and caused an estimated $50,000 in damage Friday night was caused by illegal occupants likely experiencing homelessness, fire officials say.

1. They're likely quoting what the fire officials said.

2. If it's a weird word choice, I guarantee you it's dictated by a journalistic style book, not the Deseret news itself.

3. Does this really matter, and is this really the best place for this

lol. The Jazz have gone from winning 25 games in 13-14 to win 38, 40 and now 51 games in the next seasons. That is as quick of a complete rebuild as it gets in the NBA. Enjoy it instead of constantly being negative! Its a lot more fun!

Which do they prefer: The nightlife of Salt Lake City, or Los Angeles?

Obviously, as players, you want to be able to have a little bit of a nightlife, but the main focus is winning games. Me personally, I want to get out there because I want to beat the Clippers. That's my former team, and my kids are out there. But as far as nightlife, there's no comparison to nightlife in Utah and L.A."

Jazz forward Joe Ingles gave a tongue-in-cheek response when asked about the Warriors' comments about Utah's nightlife.

"They can still go to L.A. between games if they want," Ingles said to reporters Monday. "They've got enough money to pay for a jet and go home and come back on game day, so... If they want the entertainment, they can drive to Vegas too if they really want. I'll hire a car for them if they want."

Haha ESPN is awful now. Apparently Chris Haynes directly asked the players whether Los Angeles or Salt Lake had better nightlife. Umm, obviously LA, and what's the point of the question? We're talking about basketball here.

But to answer my own question, the point is to stir up hostilities in an article with a click-baity title. Since when do Matt Barnes and Andre Iguodala equal "The Warriors?"

I was optimistic about the shopko . Ugh that central building is worse than I thought a couple weeks ago. Can they please put the parking in the rear. Good lord that is awful.

I miss the old Sugarhouse but I was hopeful that new development would take advantage of the eclecticism and charm. Wrong

You forgot Dancing Cranes, (it's predecessor, Persian Peacock), Raunch Records, and Java Jive.

Although if I recall, the Michael's still has the same crappy floor that Osco Drug had when they were in that location. With all the new development, it makes me wonder when they will start on that side of the street.
