My first thought was that it was a greenhouse. But usually that would require sunlight being able to penetrate. It also wouldn't surprise me that, despite it being completely logical to have a basement walk out there, if there isn't one.

I don't know. With a house as illogical as this, anything could be there.

What street is this? Kenmount Terrace? I'm curious to see if I can find the listing.

The surrounding area. Not a solitary tree in any yard. This is also the area with the only tempo snow shelter I have ever seen in real life.

That looks like it could be in Timmins. But you would see more Tempo snow shelters. Two days ago we had a thunderstorm with big wind gusts that blew a bunch of those around town. A few years ago I had to dodge one in my car on my way to work during high winds. I find snow shelters to be very ugly and dangerous. Our city allows two of them in any driveway between October 1st and April 30th. (7 months of the year)

horrible snout-house land. Snout houses (garage only, with no front windows on the main floor) are taking over the universe. Seems almost mandatory to have a Ford FU-150 or a Dodgy Ram Truck in the driveway. And a porky wife for shotgun.

Yeah. That particular area is notorious. Lots of craziness going down at all times. It's become a lot better recently, but it's still pretty bad by Canadian standards.

Surrey has being improving. There are still some bad pockets (some suburban areas I probably wouldn't want to be caught in after dark due to roaming gangs up to no good), but it's a far cry from where it was even 10 years go. Unfortunately, places like Abbotsford and Chilliwack are picking up the slack as Surrey gentrifies. Both those cities have seen a serious uptick in crime in the past few years.
