This building is not ugly accidentally. It is ugly on purpose. (alas, like ~75% of the highrises in London, ON)

Don't look at it too long, or else you will turn to stone. Somebody on another site described the building as "Hamiltonesque". quite.

Looks like mixed use office and residential. It's a combination that always looks off even when it turns out pretty good.

McLeod is pretty 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵. I've seen it in person and it is definitely ugly. I guess the saving grace with is that there's at least a hillside looking onto it from the west, and it just doesn't look that different to the three or four MacLeods that exist in Edmonton on completely flat surfaces.

For instance, Gateway Boulevard/Calgary Trail (especially between Whitemud and 63 Ave) is quite bad, 99 st is mostly terrible, and 97th/82nd/127 street on the northside are all really crappy.

Yeah that's pretty bad. I think from an architectural perspective that stretch of buildings is still nicer than what's on 111th ave. The Traveller's Building in particular looks like what was once a really nice building.

With 111th ave though, I still kind of enjoy driving down it sometimes because it feels like a different city in some weird way. The ugliest part of downtown Edmonton imo is that area between 101st and 97st and south of 111th that is full of empty lots, angle parking, crappy looking commercial buildings etc. All of West McCauley basically.

Ahahahaha! I'm touched (seriously). One day we have to get together if you ever find yourself in my neck of the woods or me in yours. Think of the lively drinking conversations we could have!!! Your narration of the clockzilla battles compelled me to keep making new ones. When you left I pretty much stopped.
