^^ I'm not sure what's ugly about the second Winnipeg example? The building shown just looks rundown and thats it.

Anyways, I don't mean to brag, but Edmonton destroyed most of the field in the ugliest street competition. Unless someone else can conjure up a more depressing looking collection of unused one or two storey buildings, we win in both quality and volume of ugly.

In that first shot, if you go towards Adelaide there's those three old houses holding on right next to The Bond being built. That's seems like something very Toronto and it's one of the coolest old/new and house/tower juxtapositions I've seen.

Broad Street, Regina Saskatchewan

This is DOWNTOWN REGINA. If I had a more recent picture you would see a half-destroyed Traveller's Building which has been very quiet on the news since the fire started in it a couple of weeks ago and the city came in and bulldozed half of it.

You want to 🞵🞵🞵🞵 your soul. Walk down this street with the homeless, the liquor store no one but the street people hang out in. All improved by the suburban Tim Horton's abomination of Broad Street Crossing which was pretty close to winning the ugliest Timmies competition.

111th in Edmonton is bad. I used to live in Edmonton. I know, but Broad Street is something else.

Not sure what's the best part... Love Plus - A One Stop Love Shop or the Oriental Spa (which has to be the best pseudonym for rub and tug I've ever seen). Then there's this place across the street that didn't give enough of a 🞵🞵🞵🞵 to even black out the previous sign on that awning before plastering their own version over top.

^Actually that sign is what's left after the ripped down the sign that used to be on top. It's the land of failed businesses. Multiple times. There's been at least three restaurants die in the building that Love Plus is in as well. Including one owner suicide apparently.

The only saving grace is Saigon by Night which is great.

This building is not ugly accidentally. It is ugly on purpose. (alas, like ~75% of the highrises in London, ON)

Don't look at it too long, or else you will turn to stone. Somebody on another site described the building as "Hamiltonesque". quite.

You should see what that turd looks like on an average Winter day in London, when the sky is grey, the roads are grey, the buildings are grey, the people are grey, the snow is grey, the skeletal vegetation is grey, everything is grey. This is a major problem in Ontario second tier cities (I am looking at you, London, Hamilton, Kingston), where the climate is 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 grey half the year. The monotonous grey commie blocks are absolutely soul-sucking.
