Great shots.

I have to wonder about the long term durability of that canopy - it's in concrete, right?

Quoting Monolith's post in the Canada forum (Great Canadian Skyline Thread II). Solo District/Brentwood in the upper left. I wonder if those two cranes you can see are at Brentwood. Photo was taken February 12th.

I'd love to see the same angle in another year or two.

Great shot.

The two white cranes you can see are on the Escala site.

officedweller: I am 90% sure they are steel. For structural design reasons and constructability reasons, concrete would be an odd choice. But there are numerous 'fancy' concrete formulations (additives, etc.) that could do that job and last forever.

mcminsen: following what rofina said, the Brentwood cranes are behind the shorter towers which are behind the two visible white cranes. We will see them from that vantage point soon enough though.

Thanks.
I was wondering because there looked to be formworks and scaffolding set up for those canopies.
I agree that concrete would be a lot of work to form / install.

PS - did everyone notice the Port Mann Bridge in that pic?

Some pics from today. First one is looking west from the Holdom Station platform. Second and third ones are from the Brentwood Station platform. Last one is from the Rupert Station platform.

Last year I asked when the move in month would be for Altus and they said around May/June. They gave an update to purchasers as well I believe.

I just asked yesterday if the move in date is still scheduled for May/June and they mentioned they'll be sending construction updates end of the week or early next week which to me seems its going to push again (but I think we all knew this with how construction has been slow).

They've already pushed once as it was normally suppose to be done Dec 2016 and now it sounds like it'll be pushed again. Zzz..

Ought to be getting near the top.

Its definitely noticeable from around town.

Makes it all the more real how much more noticeable the Mall towers will be.

They are slightly higher up Wellington, and taller building height in general.

Good stuff.

Ricky's? Yikes.

That was definitely not a first choice tenant.

Is there a chain restaurant not yet in Brentwood that could have taken on that spot? I believe they all are already there. I don't keep track because I never go to any of them.

Is Ricky's actually that bad? Never walked in so I don't think I am qualified to comment.

http://gotorickys.com/franchise-info/our-brands/rickys-cafe/

Anyway, it is just one of the many eating options in the neighbourhood in the near future, so not a biggie.
