Starting June 5th Air Canada Rouge will be operating 1 daily flight to YYG from YUL with the A319. Flight leaves YUL at 20:00, morning flight is still operated by Jazz DH4.

But yes... You will be bullied into having to connect in YYC.

No one is being bullied into connecting in YYC. There is one or two nonstop. If the times are not convenient then you have a choice. Connect in Calgary or spend multiple hours waiting for the next flight. I would chose the YYC connection

I agree... I was just replying to a poster who feels they are being bullied into connecting. Actually it's 2 or 3 nonstop per day YEAR ROUND. I hope the people of Saskatoon and Regina will survive! People honestly think every market should be connected with multiple flights. Reality.... It's not gonna happen.

I love how AC is spreading the love equally at all three of its hubs. The fact that YYC is left out is yet another sign of the lack of importance AC is giving to Cowtown.

On another note, yet another indication that TAP will more than likely launch LIS-YUL, once they get the proper planes (A321LR).

China Southern will be starting Guangzhou-Vancouver-Mexico City flights 3x weekly starting April 10th on 787. At this time there are no fifth freedom rights between YVR-MEX, but it means YVR-CAN service goes from 7 to 10 weekly, which is a nice bump. 7 weekly on 77W, and 3 weekly on 787.

Found this on airliners.net. Looks like a possibility as it mimics Rouge and has lots of grey, much like AC's new cabin and terminal colours.

I'm kinda sad. It took a while for me to like the present livery. But when I noticed the glacial shimmer changing in changing light, I became a fan. All things come to an end. It's probable that most don't notice but when one sees!

Don't worry they will save money by only repainting aircraft when required. If will take many years before the blue shimmer is all gone.

The GTA could be getting a second Union Station, but this one would be at Pearson airport.

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) released new images of the multi-modal transit centre it wants to build across from Pearson's two main terminals by 2027.

The YUL flight just landed with the new livery a few minutes ago... maybe someone got a pic but it's probably too dark

Better transit into Pearson would be useful, but I do wonder how they will fit a decent sized station to that area indicated. And with Toronto's woeful track record for actually building transit, I will probably be retired long before it's constructed.

Oh good, because the current spaghetti pile of ramps could not be any more needlessly-complex. When the airport express bus has to pick up a lonely freezing person under a highway overpass at Jetliner Rd, does a loop up to the overpass, then stops for another poor soul at "Jetliner Rd, upper level", it's a sign of bad planning.

Also I love the current Air Canada livery and won't change it for anything. Argh, why must all good things come to an end!??!

Sorry if I don't put up with crap service. I can't book flights will in advance to get on one of the precious few direct flights.

So yes it is a form of bullying being literally forced to travel somewhere one doesn't want to go.

Actually things will change. The more people refuse to use crap service the more you hurt the airlines where it counts in the pocket book. They want my money, then provide a service that gets me and many others where we want to go.
