I didn't snag a photo, but noticed Alta on the Park is skimming over the treelines while viewing from the east. Should be changing up the skyline in a few weeks!

The money would be better spent in creating direct access to the connector from northern Midtown and creating a new road connection to Buckhead to provide relief to Peachtree and Piedmont.

The land across the interstate between 14th and 15th Street was envisioned at some point to be another connection to Atlantic Station/Westside and creates an opportunity to cap the Connector between 14th/15th along with providing HOT/BRT transit access to Cobb County via the Arts Center Station.

There is some merit in extending 15th street over the Connector; I'll agree the bridge project ins't the priority at this time unless there were other stakeholders willing to pony up to make it happen as well (a la rapid transit access to Cobb County.

That area is a hodgepodge within a couple hours of rush hour. Would be interesting if they could create access to both 75 and 85, as well as a park between Midtown and Atlantic Station here. Even if the area isn't capped all the way, I'm sure we could engineer east/west bridge connections, while placing pedestals north to south for creating a "rolling hill" that reflects that change in the connector's elevation. Those driving on the connector would still see a massive rectangular "window" to the east/west that provides views of the city, although the real reason would be for the infrastructure to not be considered a tunnel and provide a connection between Midtown and our neighborhoods to the west.

Obviously we all want the connector to be deep enough to cap the whole thing, but by providing bridge access points as inlets for access to the park, having a hovering park on podiums would also increase foot traffic and perceived pedestrian safety between neighborhoods. With all the developments along 14th, Arts Center TOD on the way in a few years, and eventual development of Spring & West Peachtree streets, we really need to improve the experience between AS, Midtown, and the 14th St. corridor.

I believe it's difficult to tell the change in depth of the facade with the 3D model, although you can see there are some changes from the watercolor drawings presented on the middle tower with units. First is on their webpage, while the second image was from a curbed article earlier last year:

A park would go a long way into connecting AS and Midtown more, instead of these small pockets surrounded by dead areas.

A couple of planning permits were just filed for two small developments on Moreland:
Complete renovation of 299 Moreland on the south side of L5P. New commercial/restaurant.
Lot consolidation for new townhomes at 713 Moreland in Ormewood Park.

A construction permit was filed and fees paid for a 256,000sqft multi-family residential building at 465 Memorial. This is the Atlantic Realty Project. 227 apartments.

I can't tell if NAP is keeping the parking deck entrance & drop off from their fly-thru rendering. I really hope they do away with this pedestrian experience killing "feature"

It is specifically mentioned in the DC agenda that this will be going away and the parking entrance reconfigured.

Yep! And a front row view of the parking lot south of Babs ! If we're lucky, a view of Eviva, too

Thanks for sharing. So looks like 5th and Juniper is still on the table. Would be a great project to really fill in Juniper, bring some vitality back to south Midtown and compliment the other improvements on Peachtree (Honeywell, Lilli, BOA, etc)

While these are still preliminary & subject to many changes the renderings from the design architect's website (Beyer Blinder Belle) illustrate retail being built out to Peachtree at the drop-off/parking entrance area.
