East Jasper has some real gems from 100 years ago. Too bad about the state of the Brighton. But here's hoping a better future lies ahead.

I wouldn't give praise to Brewery District just yet. It looks nice but everything that has opened so far is a generic chain. Waiting till it is all leased up to give my love or hate.

Brewery District's motto: Empty underground parking.
The surface is always packed and underground is empty...i really believe they could have gone with zero surface or much more limited. Too bad, a little plaza or more shops in the center would have really been a unique experience.

Totally agree, I always dip into the underground I'm usually 1 of maybe 3 cars. Pretty funny, total waste of space above ground. And it really goes to show how the mentality here is really focused on convenience.

Why ? Apparently everyone uses it, the u/g there is a bit of a mess. The only time I'd use it if the weather was really bad

A lot of the stores still aren't open yet, and a lot of people still aren't aware that some of it is open for business already. Probably more parking than necessary but still definitely not at its peak usage yet either.

Which end-of-year address is this? Is that from one of his numerous year end interviews with the media? Is there a link?
