It is different. But not like, say, Tower Verre in Manhattan

http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=133753&page=138 (see bottom pic)

Though it's hard to know exactly how that will look as it rises to sky level. Or, for that matter, the Ritz Residences. CITC can look dark and different (seen in some of the recent photos) or very similar to many of the other buildings in town. Much depends on the light (how it's reflecting the sky) and vantage point. From 18th and Walnut, it typically appears as a blue that's very similar to IBX.

Did the core top out? It's ever so close from being visible from my office, but 1500 Market still blocks it. I feel like 5 more feet and I'd be able to see it. I know the spire will obviously be visible, but I'm still trying to figure out if that's all I'll see:

^^ The concrete core is complete. There will be a two-story atrium on top of that. Since you can see the cab of the crane, you might see the roofline, in addition to the spire.

The Spire will be visible, just like that GIANT MAN (Godzilla MAN) roaming the city!

Thanks for that. I was wondering.

Anyway, from there you will probably see the very tip of the atrium on top of the building, judging by how high that crane is. Probably. Maybe. The spire will still look good though.

I dunno how they did this and maybe someone with some crane engineering knowledge can explain but they recently added a jumping mechanism to the base of the cab of the east crane (and it made a jump yesterday). Prior to this, it had been jumping from its base but since its now at the top the office section, that no longer possible.

Comcast Innovation & Technology Center

These are not my images. Not sure if anybody has posted this yet, but there are some awesome panoramic views the construction workers have assembled. Link is here. I have taken some stills.

The Liberty Place Observation Deck is great, isn't it. Although the construction of Comcast Innovation did block out the Art Museum from up there, which was kind of a bummer. At least CI&TC is a great building.

Is there any plan for an observation deck at Comcast Innovation, or is it just the restaurant?

What a perfect fit for Philly's skyline. Goes nicely with the rest of the big boys.

From a Distance (Port Richmond)

This view showing CITC under construction will be a nice addition to the skyline from this angle.
Too bad there's still leaves on that huge tree.
In winter (when the leaves have all fallen, you can see the whole skyline of Center City.)
I will take a picture in a few weeks, hopefully.

It is not a very good picture. I took this with the Sun hitting me in the eyes This view is better at night.

If you can't see CITC, it's to the left of that chimney. (On the horizon)
