After you asked that question, and I posted the rendering shot, I had to look like 10 times, to tell the difference. haha (my mind playing tricks on me)

But then I noticed the center section (without the braces), you can see the "Groove" or indentation of a separated window.
And I'm correcting my mistake of saying the blue tape removal theory. Looking at TallCoolOne's photo above, the blue tape isn't on the / \ diagonals that aren't finished. So, I don't know what the logic is in what oder the blue tape is removed, except I'm sure it will all look very nice when finished.

Indeed. It's my favorite feature of this building for sure. The bracing is really cool and the dark color is different than the ubiquitous silver/blue glass.

It’s funny you say that because I was just being critical in my last post that the façade is exactly that blue ubiquitous glass. In that picture, does the glass really look any different than IBX?

^Agreed. The mockups made it look darker. The finished product looks like more of the blue stuff.

Disagree, i look onto this building everyday from my office. It's gray. That overly filtered photo popped weird colors - and, in general, is an artistic mess.

This is a undoubtedly silverly gray building.

I can see how depending on the angle, sun vs. cloud cover, distance, etc., the glass can look quite different but to my eyes, it’s clearly blue glass regardless of that variation. Here is my unfiltered iPhone picture from last week which looks pretty true to my eyes – clearly blue.

I do see this building in person regularly. I'm sure that it does change appearance depending upon the skies. I still think it's bluish in general.

It is definitely not as dark as I had originally thought. I remember walking by the mock-up on 19th Street last year and it was a dark grey. I was very impressed.
