^ I agree; I might even say I forgive the look of the tower given how good they look and how much they add to the street.

Likely. They also stopped the 100 ave lanes at the arbitrary Downtown border rather than making the rational connections west to the existing bike route past 116St.

It's a start, that's all.

Anyone know the exact location of this? I assume it's the parcel nearest the 118/101 traffic circle that they were doing some clearing work on a ways back?

Space is fenced off and some equipment is on site now. And yes it is the spot closest to the traffic circle.

Enbridge Centre website is up:
http://www.enbridgecentre.ca/

There's a notable name in the management section.

Grand opening is tomorrow, but unsure if there's a public event or what.

Bonus photos thanks to a particular SSPer (I'm not sure if he wants to be named or not) who gave me a bit of a tour!

I wonder how the bars did after the Oilers game last night. I would have walked around and checked out the vibe if I didn't catch a serious cold. Heard people screaming on the streets at 1AM though, which on a Wednesday, tells me the new arena has kept some people out about downtown.

Hey guys, let's try to keep this thread more for construction updates. Quite a few participants in this thread would rather keep this thread for the latest updates on construction and what not. If you have an itch to ramble on any other topics, please create a new thread. If you have suggestions or having musings on what could be done, please use the Urban Design thread. Let's free this thread up for information on what is going on in Edmonton.
