I don't believe anything was ever officially confirmed.

VIP certainly makes the most sense here, with the major theatre being at Metrotown.

I was in the area earlier today but didn't have enough time to get a good shot of the new structure. You can make it out in this shot though.

So how quickly are they adding the floorplates to the residential towers? Averaging 1 per week or faster?

No, I don't think the residential towers have really taken off yet. At least, I don't see it. They will at some point but the big changes are in the mall area.
