That would be awesome, like if Jean Renaudie had dropped a complex in River North!

I believe I saw half of the tower crane for atrium village (division/wells) being constructed yesterday so that one is going along pretty fast as well!

The red one sprouting up? I noticed that today too.

Yes, I think completion of the Jewel & garage superstructure (not including facade or interior) was scheduled for early August, and the tower superstructure will be in December/January. Moving fast!

Here (scroll down one screen) is a great time-lapse cam btw: http://sinclairapts.com

I don't have the technical expertise to claim such, but that looks like a maintenance nightmare.

Thanks for the shots as always Solarwind, the glass on 215 W Lake looks slick.

Also, speaking of projects on Randolph, there were soil test rigs on that small lot directly across from the Cadillac Palace today. Anyone know what is brewing on that site?

1001 West Chicago

1001 West Chicago is under construction. YoChicago on flickr has provided a photo of active drilling on site:

YoChicago may be a little crabby about his intellectual property, but the man knows how to take good photos for sure.

Yeah, although I believe 1001 W Chicago is technically 2 highrises, not 1.

^ Also, that CVS pharmacy right across the street has got to be fair game for redevelopment.

A savvy owner of that property knows that with the Gonnella site getting zoning approval, and with the new TOD ordinance, that this particular site is prime for a much denser, and thus more lucrative, development. I would love to see a flatiron style building there.

If I were the owner I would hire a lawyer and architect, start working on the zoning, and then sell it off to a developer for a profit.
