The East Village is fast on its way to becoming one of the coolest areas of the city. The side of the street opposite the gas station has the beautiful newly restored St. Louis hotel that is now the hq for Calgary Municipal Land Corporation and at the end of the street the new Central Library is currently being built. Condos are also popping up all over the place. The East Village was formerly an actual no man's land of prostituion and drugs but the transformation has been nothing short of amazing. Now that the Cecil is gone it's much less shady. Some people still complain about the homeless shelter but it's nothing like it used to be.

I only see the crowns of EAP in the background. I don't see Centennial Place or Canterra at all. These house have potential. Those residential towers will always be tacky and cheap.

More likely got paid an obscene amount of money to do it.

Yeah right Trump eating fried chicken with a knife and fork; silver ones at that!

Look, he's relating to the common man. Eating his schlubby supporters' KFC on his private gold encrusted jumbo jet with fine china and silverware.

Not by using a knife and fork to eat his fried chicken he won't! Actually, it's nearly noon and I haven't seen any news yet today about how Trump has again scandalized his nation, or otherwise diverted the election campaign from any substantive electoral issue (have people noticed how successful he has been in that regard, with the enthusiastic help of the U.S. media?).

It couldn't look more fake if he tried. He's smiling but he looks angry. I bet you he threw it out the second after the picture was taken. Replaced it with some random endangered species stew.

Does anyone else feel like we're living in Back to the Future 2? Like Trump took a time machine back to the 1980's and gave himself the Sports Almanac to become a billionaire and run for president.

That's far too sensible. It's probably specifically designed to target African Americans, and his advisers haven't realized why that's problematic.

Reminds me of a function I once attended in Winnipeg where Belinda Stronach was handed a piece of Salisbury House's red velvet cake... she took one bite and it discreetly went into the garbage. Billionaires must have their own exclusive food sources.

Although then again, with the "quality" of Salisbury House's food I suppose I really can't blame her.

Well when you have a private chef everything else must taste like slop.

I can't actually imagine Trump listening to an adviser. Doesn't he already have all the answers?
