I'm frankly astounded that they would do such a thing, just to save the cost of proper venting, even if a booster fan is required to assist with long vent runs. I have a ventless machine also, but at least it has a drain line for some of the extracted moisture. Even so, I have to keep a window open when I run the dryer because the system's far from perfect.
And I have yet to see a combo washer/dryer that doesn't leave everything coming out more than damp. Those are especially funny to see in damp/humid climates: good luck hanging anything to dry after the gutless dryer is done.
The way this market is going with micro-appliances makes me far less desirous of buying anything built from around 2010 onward. Westbank seems to be leading the charge.
I stand corrected as there is a dryer condenser and drain line on the unit I saw. Will check on more this week
An agent from Magnum that marketed 700 W. 8th told me that Westbank's small fridges are a response to the Asian demographic they're targeting. A guy in the appliance industry claimed BS, saying the fridges Westbank installs are there for one reason only: they're cheap as hell.
They're probably both right.
Looks like a pretty standard fridge size you'd find in Europe.
Some of the container hoardings have been removed.
Looks like the bulky structure will hinder an open renovation scheme at grade - unless that concrete wall can be partially removed/opened up (?)

They're actually jack-hammering sections of the foundation below grade away. Not sure what's up with that, but it's very slow going.

Why couldn't they have used this glazing for the entire tower???? It would have looked so much sleeker, more elegant, and way more luxurious than how it turned out.
Not a fan of how the residential tower turned out. I like the shape of the south side, but the 1950s-bathroom-tile-colour that covers it looks......gross, if I'm going to be blunt. The warm brown and copper tones that were in the original rendering would have looked infinitely better.
Seafoam power! The City wants everything to blend into the sea and sky, although in the case of Telus not sure what prompted to make them change from the original copper/wood tone design.
