Thanks.

Sounds like an expensive maintenance item.

This whole complex is going to be an expensive maintenance item. Just tonight I noticed the bottom half of the protruding box edge lighting that I see on the office tower had gone wonky, burning super bright.

Don't worry, Telus will just increase their rates to pay for it all.

From yesterday. The little pool with plants, rocks and fountains by the glass elevator is looking nice now.

Thanks.

Looks good.
Though, it doesn't "match" the pond by the office lobby, which doesn't have rocks (and never will, because it has steps and an art piece in it).

How appropriate, given how much of a dumpster fire this project has turned out like.

I've been noticing interior lights and flickering TVs now in various places up and down the Richards Street side of the condo tower. For the first time in a long time tonight I saw a couple of panels of the edge lighting were on. I was beginning to wonder if they were still going to light up. When they do it's going to be spectacular.

I noticed the other night that some of the edge lighting on the Georgia St. box were off / malfunctioning.

Saw a friend's place in Telus Garden today.

Pics by me today:

Lighted strips next to each suite entrance:

Awkward laundry closet (door stop prevents door from opening fully).

Cabinets are really high.
That's supposed to be the microwave alcove above the sink.

Tiny oven:

The suite is in the "slot" on the north side.
This is the wall to the left:

I guess they replaced the green panels with gray panels on the alley side (?)

Some odd choices there. Microwave is waaaaay too high. And you'd have to take the door off to get the washer/dryer in and out. Not a huge deal, but looks a bit awkward for daily usage too.

That kitchen is ultra modern. What I'm assuming is the built in fridge looks awesome... at least until you need to find a replacement.

Question - did you notice if the dryer has an extra booster fan? My new place in Block 100 has an extra lint trap and booster fan outside of the dryer itself. I know moisture from dryer vents has been a bane of downtown condos, but was surprised to see those extra devices from day 1.

That fridge is microscopic, and the freezer is smaller than a small crisper bin.

I hear Westbank put the same useless fridge in at 700 West 8th. I've heard it mentioned that people have seen larger fridges in recreational trailers.

I would hazard the dryer is ventless.

The freezer has 3 clear plastic drawers.
You'd have to remove a drawer to store a larger (tall) item like a Chapmans ice cream tub.
Not even sure if a frozen pizza would fit in the drawer width-wise (Hmm?)

Sorry, didn't examine it that closely, although there was no hose running to the ceiling.

The floor numbering on the elevator panel says it all. All a bit far-fetched, and sell-your-mother type of marketing, but $$ is $$ and you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess.

Fridge might be ok for a small one bedroom... hard to tell from the pics though.

Ventless dryers? What a time to be alive. But where does all the moisture go? Into your unit?

I've had a two in one washer/dryer unit for over a decade now, incredible piece of machinery, put the clothes in set the timer, go and do whatever I want and come back to warm clean clothes. The dryer is a condenser unit and the water goes down the drain line which every washer has.
