This type of thing drives me insane. You see this off the main drag in many new suburbs where there is only a sidewalk on one half of the road and the other is all driveways. The worst offenders though are old business parks. In many of them the parking stalls and asphalt go straight to the front entrance of the office.
Then there's that special area of Calgary known as Alyth/ Bonnybrook /Manchester. Formerly residential neighbourhoods zoned for industrial but still containing old houses and some undeveloped lots. This was taken yesterday not far from Chinook Centre. The road just turns form asphalt to gravel.
