The proportions seem off.

Thanks!
May just be a bit steeper than the rendering.

Remember that the rendering shows ordinary condo glazing with spandrel on the sides and backs of the towers.
Only the main façades are the copper colour.

I will give it this: the project is moving fast. But I have doubts that it will be open for business by January 2017.

Impossible. I doubt it will be open until mid-2018.

Indeed. End of 2017 possibly if everything is sourced and delivered without a single hitch.

Great shots.
That floor with the high ceiling may be the ballroom level.

Thanks for that link. I had a feeling that my information was out of date.

They've installed a couple panes of glass at the southeast corner. I couldn't get pictures, but it seemed to look pretty good.

Thanks for the heads up. Here's how it looks. It's quite reflective and changes with the angle and light.

I like it! It's different. However it does seem more Rose tinged then copper, how does it appear in person?

When I first spotted it from the south it looked like flat dark chocolate. As I went by it changed constantly as it reflected the sky. I think it will be chameleon-like and take on the look of what's around it.

Here are some more odds and ends from today. There goes what's left of the view of the stadium from the south end of Cambie Bridge.
