Something I forgot to ask. Does anyone know if they plan to change the light colors, such as for the weather or the Holidays?

In that picture it almost looks like the Walker Center is beaming a light onto the top of 111.

I hope it has changeable colors like 222. I am assuming it does. I really like that 222 changes colors for the holidays, and having both of those buildings do that would be cool, IMO. I realize that SLC is the State Capital and represents the entire state, but having two skyscrapers adorned in red during football rivalry week would be really cool. SLC is after all home of the Utes!

No idea, but I hope so! It's hard to tell in this picture, but the corners of the building were definitely purple rather than blue, so perhaps there are multiple colors that they can work with.

I'm interested to know everyone's opinions on what the best architectural buildings are in Salt Lake, so I would be curious to hear everyone's top 5 traditional 'skyscrapers' (I realize we don't really have any true skyscrapers) and top 5 'other' buildings (e.g. City and County Building or Salt Lake Library, etc.) So, what are your respective favorites?

6 - the City Library (too bad it's over run by the homeless)
7 - the Key Bank Building (although it's just a box, I like the looks)

9 - the LDS Temple
10 - the Immanuel Church (Anthony's Antiques)

3- 222 Main (half due to the increased vibrancy on the street due to employee foot traffic)

I didn't put much thought into this. These are the buildings that came to mind.

Skyscrapers
1. Boston & Newhouse (but Boston's interior is cooler)
2. Walker Tower (for the neon tower)
3. 222 South Main (for not being a rectangle and contrasting Hotel Monaco)
4. Hotel Monaco (for narrowness)
5. Tribune Building (because it's underrated and we almost lost it)

Other
1. City & County (I worked there 2.5 years)
2. Peery Hotel (new paint job from red to green)
3. The Jvdge Building (for green windows and crown and red brick)
4. Firestone (Cucina Toscana)
5. TIE Beerhive Pub or Martine Cafe (for color and narrowness)
