Just like people learned at rexall to go down the stairs and down the street a bit to bypass the entire salmon run of people heading to the station after a game?

Or people will head to other LRT stations. The existing ones - Churchill, Central, Bay - are all accessible via our wonderful pedway system if you don't wanna walk outside. Or there's the ones for the future Valley line.

I wouldn't be surprised if they short turned before the shared section on event nights to increase take away capacity on both lines, at least as a temporary measure until all the signal issues are fixed 100%.

Look at that bottleneck not sure — they were thinking but I'm not surprised given the history of our transit department
Should there be a bottle neck prior to the platform?

Rexall bottle necks pretty good, as does Commonwealth. I always assumed that bottle neck was a good thing to happen to improve safety on the platform. You know prevent it from being one of those third world train stations where people are being crushed by the mob behind them.

Max 850m^2 floor plate which is large than the Pearl and getting to be a bit large for a tower, but certainly not fat.

I used the dimensions stated, but the camera focal length in my software makes it seem like it's much "fatter" than it actually is.

That, and the staggered windows I didn't model because I'm lazy. Really just a height comparison.

Even so, the design of a transit station aimed at moving people efficiently shouldn't "hope" that people decide to disembark at other stations if this one is most convenient for them.

The design was done well before the arena... and they are making some modifications to it and the arena design to incorporate it better, but all along it has been intended to disperse the crowd to multiple locations and stations. People will learn, people will alter habits.

You give people a lot more credit than they deserve I think.
