That's why the CTBUH has introduced two categories:

1. Architecturally Topped Out (crown, spire,...)
2. Structurally Topped Out (core)

So according to their own rules 1WTC is 1373 ft as the only architectural element of the spire (the cladding/radome) has been discarded.

no I think you have it backwards.

Structurally 3 WTC is topped off. Architecturally it is not yet. The architectural height is what is counted for the final height in the rankings.

Antenna's don't count if they were not part of the building's design. For instance, with 1 WTC the way the built the actual structure of the building was designed to support the spire. In some cases an antenna was simply mounted on top and thus not counted.

He was talking about the architectural element of the Freedom Tower's spire being stripped. But that's over and done with, it was ruled because of the "beacon" at the top the height would count. Discuss it further in that thread.

^^^^

Just a side note, on JC. A lot of those towers that we see expanding the skyline Westward where not there 5 years ago. Amazing how much JC grew.

No purpose. It's just signage for the concrete contractor.

5 days old, but cool nevertheless.

Can see 3 WTC and on the right, 50 west.

As viewed from the Marbella M2 tower over in Jersey City.

^^^Looks like that's from Ellis Island/Staten Island or BK?

If so, shouldn't 4WTC be blocking that view of 3WTC? Looks like its actually on the opposite side.
