Three things St. John's does
a lot outside of the designated heritage areas, from a short run to a friend's in Riverhead neighbourhood just now.
Very small parking lots in the front, making them difficult for vehicles to use. Not only is this horrid from an urban planning perspective, but putting them in the back would be easier for vehicles to boot.
Completely out-of-place infill to replace blocks that burn down, always with parking lots that are suddenly necessary despite the previous businesses there not needing them.
And shit like this.
Thank God the City controls every detail of what people can do with their homes in the Heritage areas or this sort of thing would be downtown too.
