Proposal for new tallest in London. The developer is Rygar, who had previously proposed a 33 storey tower on this site, but at that time they didn't own the land. Another developer bought the land and then sold it to Rygar, who additionally bought even more land. Anyways, the new proposal is for:

The tower to the right of the proposal is an U/C 29 floor condo tower. London has about 10 proposals for buildings over 25 floors - hoping at least half of them get built.

That is on their list of inspirations as submitted with their application. The lack of cohesion in design screams amateur hour to me.

Likely a cycle or 2 away still, hopefully not, but 102st centre is a beaut and the single best location ^in the city.

Beechwood Avenue, just east of the Downtown Ottawa. New addition looks very "University Residence" but will actually be condos and Townhomes likely ranging from $250,000 to $1,000,000+. Note that Beechwood is situated between Vanier (one of the roughest parts of Ottawa) and Rockliffe Park (richest part of Ottawa where diplomats, politicians and CEOs live).

Great thing about this development is that it saves a 1908 French Canadian Catholic Church and converts it into a Market Building and will also house Bistros, a Coffee Shop, Restaurants.

another render of East Harbor, the massive office development proposed on Toronto's east end.

This is early in the process, but this has promise to be an incredible spot. with it announced that a DRL stop will be located here today, along with GO RER / Smarttack, this has a lot of potential.

The buildings are likely massing models and the rail station looks way, way oversized, but there is a lot of potential.

I've been in Canada since 1980 but today it truly feels like this country is entering a golden era. Watching cities like Edmonton starting to pack a punch/make its mark mirrors what's happening nationally. I think we'll look back at this time as one when Canada blossomed and started firing on all cylinders.

We're very lucky to be living here, in this time.

I would agree. However the new Stantec Tower behind it will be substantially taller and have a major skyline impact.

This is just horrible. It's great they'll be keeping the church but they're showing it zero respect by surrounding it with a brick building that will clash with it. They made that mistake with the first three condos at the distillery district before making the right choice and switching to glass point towers. The modern material compliment the old Victorian structures.
