Based on the below tweet, the above flight was illegal. Large swaths of Winnipeg are no fly zones for drones, without a permit. Everything west of the Red, north of Bishop Grandin is within that zone. Than more areas east of thr red depending on where you take the 9km from.

I was thinking of getting in there this year. But scheduling didn't work out. Hoping to next year. Tickets are available to the public. IIRC, this year it was $100 per head. You can also sign up to be table leaders I think.
