Some of the angles I've looked from had Brookfield slightly above the Bow, I think it is currently taller, just not by much so the perspective distorts it.

Surreal did some MS Paint style mockups on twitter yesterday/today to show the final crown height. Looked promising and should show it taller than The Bow from quite a few vantages.

Here's another angle showing Brookfield Place towering over the Bow. From the southwest, Brookfield Place will dominate.

my apologies for the sizing of the image.

Here are the mock ups Bigtime was referring to. Again, sorry for the sizing.

elevation suggests the top of the posts sticking above the concrete core would be the final height.

elevation - crown = the height of 4 office floors
your mockup - crown = the height of 5 office floors

That would be my guess as well.

Looks awesome! Add FKA Architecture to the list of international firm portfolio for our city.
I have also found out the curtain wall supplier for this project. It is OLDCASTLE. They do good stuff for their glazing systems.
Not sure who for the atrium structural glazing as that too have curved glass, Horizontally!
But it could still be 1 supplier providing for both kinds which would make sense.

The mockup is a full five, so basically similar to the mockup but a bit shorter. In the end the crown will be quite big, once done Brookfield will look much taller than the Bow from certain angles.

So much for that program although I still suspect it will be somewhere in between. The cranes don't clear your mockup.

It'll be sweet if the crown ends up that tall! BlueCypress has been conspicuously silent on this whole thing. He's the only one that can actually confirm how much is left.

I'm really hoping Surreal's version is correct, but just in case the crown only goes up to the top of the little white columns that we see, here's a quicky mockup of what that massing might look like (photo credit to Surreal I assume?).

Still not too shabby, although its funny how even that extra bit of height in Surreal's to does make it look cooler.

Btw, i have a feeling this angle from SAIT will become a pretty popular way to shoot this tower...it's a great vantage point to see it's best qualities.

Why would BlueCypress have any know on the crown. He's working on 707 Fifth.

What makes it so hard to tell is the angle that's used. You can't really compare it to the technical drawing because that one is head on from the fat side. Looking at just the angled part of the crown though I'd think it would have to be taller just so that it meets the exterior wall.

Funny how Eau Claire Tower looks similar to what we may get with Brookfield. The crown even has a similar effect where you get some transparent glass covering up the mechanical bits.

That building actually turned out pretty well for a basic box. It was a solid addition to the skyline.

Yeah, I like Eau Claire. Way better than the shorter twin of Centennial Place which just looks all sorts of awkward from a lot of angles. It really ended up just too busy in too small a canvas.

Nice skills Suburgatory! I still think the crown will be taller like in Surreal's Sketch Up version though. The proportions just look wrong otherwise.

Awesome rendering and fairly close to reality (height) as we must remember BP is only 36 feet taller than the Bow..
