I think this one may have been downsized below 12 stories, so I moved the picture to the General Developments thread.
What is this on the site? Just soil testing equipment?

Fulton West - 1330 West Fulton Street

May 18, 2016

^ Google Street View - July 2015

Does anyone know the background on this site? I believe it was on-hold for some time before starting up again. Also, it appears there was a redesign. Could this have resulted in the concrete floor slabs being cut away to accommodate this change? And finally, I find the use of capitals interesting instead of drop panels. Maybe they'll be exposed in the floor layout?

Yep. I believe this is the location of the Nobu Hotel at 846 W Randolph St. I did a search and see that is was downsized to 7 stories from 12.

Due west of Fulton West. Not sure what is being built. Does Sterling Bay own this site too?

The blue truck pictured above is a mobile drilling rig - almost certainly being used for soil testing.

Pretty interesting to see - the Hampton Inn on Illinois & Dearborn is going to enclose its vehicle turnaround area (https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8908535,...ApvO_qMJB1Eyg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1) to create a new restaurant space

Per Joe Moreno's Facebook page, they are holding a community meeting regarding a LGBT friendly, 100% affordable, housing development containing 88 units at 2031 N Milwaukee. Most of the funding is coming from the Milwaukee-Fullerton TIF district.

Meeting is being held on 5/21 at 230pm at Congress Pizzeria at 2033 N Milwaukee.

With Sports Authority announcing that they are closing all stores I wonder what will become of the building on the SW corner of Ontario and Lasalle. At least the super tacky signage won't be up much longer.

At least the Sport Authority on Lasalle is in a nice building, I'm really excited about the Sports Authority on Clark and Barry; hopefully that building (and attached parking structure) die a quick but painful death.

What about the Chicago Sports Wall of Fame? We're losing a yuuuge tourist draw!

AHAHAHA I will love to see the NIMBYs and housing activists destroy each other on this one after teaming up against the twin towers...

Also... +1 to another midrise on that stretch of Milwaukee... and it seems to be a true TOD with no horrid parking podium.

I live 1/2 block down on Barry but always go the other way. I'd rather not feel like I'm walking through war-torn Syria.

^ Awesome. Anyone hear anything recently about 975 W. Wilson, the other Cedar Street development a block east?
